Art in the tradition of the American West
Known as one of the countrys most prolific western artists, Wyatt steps before his easel each day and draws from his own life experiences: the history of the lands he lives in, his faith, his love, and his friends. Todays painting might be of a cowboy in a slouch hat a cattle stampede amid streaks of lightening or, in the spring, a new born calf. A landscape, still life, character study or one of many commissioned portraits might be on his mind.
But Wyatt always returns to the West of America and the bulk of his work is found here. He knows the cowboy and paints him as he was and as he is. Wyatt feels the cowboys life, his emotions, his work, his land, his cattle and his horses. As one puncher stated, Aint nobody paints a horse as good as Kenneth. Wyatts response to this compliment was: It's strictly a gift from God...I see paintings in my soul and then I push the paint around until it looks like what I see inside.
A contemporary Master of the American West
Just as Kenneth Wyatt moves easily from one subject to another, he effortlessly changes mediums from oil to watercolor, pastel, pencil, charcoal, or sculpture in bronze, pewter or stone. Kenneth's paintings are loved by people from all walks of life. They hang in offices, homes, and fine art museums; they are among collections of farmers, queens, bankers, movie stars, clergy and almost ever other occupation known.
